CYGNUS Learning Centre
With experienced teachers from across the world we offer a range of essential learning opportunities (IT laboratory, fully-fledged library and academic support sessions for core curriculum) at CYGNUS campus to ensure children and youth in the northern villages too are offered near equal to their contemporaries in more affluent areas in the country.
Education aid
Poverty drives children to drop out of school. With our “Nena Sahana” initiative we aim to support them to grow up to be empowered, confident adults enriched with academic knowledge, which will lead them to opportunities for a stable future.
Sponsor a child...
“Sri Shakyaputhra Scholarships” connects sponsors with students in need of financial support. We award grants to attend school, college or other higher educational institutes.
Helping People Way Out of Poverty
Even in a world of plenty, hunger continues to cripple lives and threaten futures. With our “Jeewana Sahana” initiative we take a practical and dynamic approach to the complicated issues related to poverty and hunger. We believe in empowering people to help themselves.
Supporting Pregnant Mothers
Our maternal health campaign aims to support new and expectant mothers of low-income families in the Northern Province.
Save Our Nature
Irrespective of being rich or poor, educated or not, all of us want to feel safe. However, some of our own actions are destroying the fresh air, the clean water, the clean food available to us in this world. Despite their importance, just 29% of the Sri Lanka’s total land area has tree cover. With “Jeewithayata Jeewayak” initiative we carry-out a series of projects to bring back life of nature.
Protecting Buddha Sasana
Through “Sasuna Surakimu” initiative we carry out meritorious events for Dhamma Schools and Sangha, support construction projects such as “Kuti Puja කුටි පුජා” and providing education assistance for novice monks, etc.
