We offer a range of essential learning opportunities at CYGNUS campus to ensure children and youth in the northern villages too are offered near equal to their contemporaries in more affluent areas in the country
Currently based in a temporary building, we provide children with FREE access to:
- IT Literacy – CYGNUS Learning Centre offers IT training courses and laboratory facilities for both children and adults
- Fully-fledged library – ‘Reading makes a full man’ (or a woman)!.
- Academic support sessions for core curriculum subjects – As a solution for inadequate availability of qualified teachers for core curriculum school subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Sinhala, Tamil as well as grade 5 scholarship exam, we have privately employed experienced teachers with qualifications to conduct additional afterschool sessions to prepare the students in the community to align their knowledge and skills with the national curriculum.

How you can Support
- Sponsor IT courses or classes monthly basis
- Donate towards the maintenance of CYGNUS Learning Centre; help us pay our electricity bill.
- Donate stationary, computer equipment, projectors, etc.
- Spend a day with children teaching them new skills.
- Donate towards the CYGNUS Learning Centre Building Fund as we are aiming to build a fully-fledged Learning Centre including the IT laboratory, library with reading facilities, lecture halls, outside sitting areas.
- Donate books for the library (both new/used)
- Provide teaching/training materials/books
